Is Mayweather A Divisional Goat?

Right right yes just totally ignore what was said and go to ad hominem instead, that’ll work a treat!
Based on what do the rankings (that we all have referred to for the last 100+ years when judging fighters careers and accomplishments) become less meaningful geometrically as you descend through them? Explain how you have come to that conclusion.
Once we get to that bottom of that, then we can move on to why rankings seemingly count for every single fighter in history except Mayweather.Comment

There am more accuracy rating #1 and #2 than there am rating #48 and #49, therefore more meaning to the ranking.. There are a heck of a lot more guys who might be 48th than there are who might be #1, There am a much larger field at the bottom than the top. I don't know how you could dispute that, but...

Mayweather divides opinion. If you legitimately enjoyed watching his fights then you will be more inclined to defend him. Those who didn't enjoy watching him will be more inclined to find holes. My problem with his advocates is that they look for some pathology in the minds of his critics rather than maturely accept the difference of opinion.
The Money years were pretty dull. Lots of athleticism and technical point scoring, very little entertainment. Money's advocates will claim we're too uneducated to properly interpret what we think we're seeing. Occam's razor gets us to a much simpler explanation: some boxing fans just found him boring.
Had he taken the show on the road as his team kept saying he would, before we got the inevitable Vegas/Bayless announcement, he almost certainly would have dropped a few decisions.Comment

Would those have gone the other way in Mexico and Argentina? I mean, maybe, maybe not. He legitimately won both. So, he could easily have got the decision if those fights took place anywhere in the worldComment

I didn't think Maidana 1 was debatable
Very close and competitive but Floyd clearly won (7-5 is the worst I see and I've really tried to make a case) I always see it the same way 7-5 that's with me giving Maidana the benefit of the doubt with a swing round so 7-5 or 8-4 even.
I don't think every close fight means it could have been a draw or gone the other way.
I even rewatched this with some friends who was arguing Maidana won and we all came away in agreement Floyd took it.
Castillo I had winning, only debateable one for me in his career.Comment

You don’t know that. Are we talking fantasy fights here, or real ones? Because a few implies more than 2, and only 2 fights in Floyd’s career were debatable who won (Maidana 1 and Castillo 1)
