    Bob Fitzsimmons - A phenomenon

Just read Adam Pollacks book about him. This guy was a middleweight who knocked out heavyweights for fun. He was a massive puncher and smart too. You guys dont care about old timers though do you.

he had a brilliant training method, he would relax his body and try and catch a falling rope into a well. said it trained the muscles to go from a to b in the most efficient manner possible. that's why he hit like a Cobra. I believe this was in Pollacks book, can you confirm? yes or no

            I don't think so.

He caught a 184 pound Corbett who was beating him.

And he KOed a past-it Sharkey.

Otherwise he didn't fare so well against HWs.

Please act in a polite manner or at least accord yourself as a man. The world is full of rude people.

Fitzsimmons was DQed when he fought Tom Sharkey in Sharkey's prime, (1896).

When Fitz stopped Sharkey in 1900 Sharkey was in his last six fights, going 1-5. That is past prime.
