1: cruiserweights - especially good ones, just like light heavyweights - have no issue taking down or beating heavyweights. Usyk was a former cruiserweight. Getting on TRT or eating a lot to bulk up is not whats improving his chances.
2: size is determined by your frame, ligaments and muscle insertions. Weight is variable. A small man can be fat (200+) a large man can actually be underweight. You want the ideal weight - which is usually much lighter than people realize.
you can see this in old fighters when they retire. Many of them get very heavy.
3. all these weight division first and foremost were created largely in part for money. Multiple titles means multiple high stakes fights for the public. Yes of course there would have been under matched smaller fighters who got beat up by larger fighters, but we so quickly forget when the opposite happens. This is dangerous too. Take Margarito vs Pacquaio. Pacquiao said something like âÂÂboxing isnâÂÂt about killingâÂÂ.
