Chamberlain pulled out of the fight,I've corrected you on this before.

The reason Muhammad Ali vs NBA Legend Wilt Chamberlain's most anticipated boxing match got cancelled - Sportszion,

On April 22, 1971, Walter Cronkite reported on the CBS Evening News that Wilt Chamberlain had declined to sign the final contract for the match. The world would never see these literal and figurative giants trade blows in the ring, and sporting aficionados everywhere were left to ponder what might have been.

      - - First fight was the only time a fight was on the line and had any meaning.

Wilt just used later Ali fights for NBA salary contract negotiations that propelled him into the first $$$Million athlete in the world as anyone who watched Ali and Wilt then would've known.

You've been torn to shreds on this topic to many times to count. Wilt was never beating Ali in the ring anymore than Ali was beating him in a game of one on one. Wilt knew this, just like Jim Brown knew it. Hence, why the fight was never made.

          - - Deny that Ali and Herbert cra pped themselves in front of Howie and millions of viewer after the fight and terms were first agreed to all you want.

Wilt was a one off combination of physical and mental attributes who upended the sports world including Jim Brown who couldn't believe Wilt could whooped him in impromptu sprints. Jim was smarter than you as well as Ali and Herbert.

But of course just about everyone in the world is smarter, so there's that context.

Chamberlain had about as much chance against Ali as Mr Humphries poncing about with a feather duster in Grace Brothers.

I guess Wilt did not want to be HW champ. He already knew Clay had humiliated Brown in a play slap match.

Wilt wanted nothing do with Ali. Even his own father told him he had no chance because he wasn't a trained boxer. Wilt was a supremely gifted Athlete, but boxing isn't just some game you pick up. It takes many years to hone those skills.

                  - - Way after Wilt humiliated Ali. Brown never appeared on Cosell's ABC sports segment with an agreed contract to fight undefeated Ali like Wilt did.

Damn shame enfants terrible with their tiny fists and wails of ignorance have taken over a one noble forum that started with an all star cast of boxing aficionados...

Right. And even to gain the ability to take punch takes a while. Wilt would not have had that in his first fight ever.

I know nobody is talking about top 5 favorite KOs from ATG fav fighters, but I'll give another list of one of my favorites. Ricardo 'Finito' Lopez, as I stated before I love punching machines, and this dude was absolutely a punching machine.

                      4- Ala Villamor
                      3- Alex Sanchez
                      2- Hideyuki Ohashi
                      1- Yamil Caraballo
