Schenectady's welterweight world champion Marty Servo!
Not a huge hitter but one hell of a boxer who even gave a prime S.R. Robinson fits.
(Robbed in the rematch, it's been often said).
In his time he got a Ring cover; but largely forgotten today by those who "know boxing".

Haroon Khan, 7 fights, 7 wins, not fought since 2017, nothing left to prove. He did not need a belt to prove his greatness. Simply the best of them all. Nash out - His Majesty

          Ducked by JJohnson first.

Besides that "gift" he got when he fought Jimmy Young!

              Packey McFarland 70-0 with 50 KOs (1904-1915)

Got squeezed out of a title shot by circumstance and avoidance.

Joe Gans became ill and Battling Nelson refused to fight him.

If he could have defeated either he would be higher on everyone's important list.

P.S. In his last fight, two years after he quit fighting, he jumped from LW to MW and fought Mike Gibbons to a NWS Draw.

The same Gibbons who went 1-1 with Harry Greb.

Not true. JJohnson and Wills had an agreement to fight but the (New Jersey, I believe it was) commission wouldn't allow it.

                  Another example of "Unforgivable Blackness".

                      An inevitability it seems.
