    ?

How am I trying to get you banned? You’re doing that all by yourself with the way you act.

You were told to keep a civil tone. I suggest you listen.

Oh, but you claimed you didn't have banning power. Interesting. Perhaps you might try policing people who act like as sholes and pick unnecessary fights instead of the people who fight back.

I was responding to the post about fans stuffing their mouths with chips and beer and noting that soccer fans also stuff their mouths with beer. As well as engage in hooliganism and throwing bananas at black players.

Happens every play in the NFL, where receivers act like they're mugged trying to draw a pass interference call. It's been a part of American football since the day pass interference calls hit the rule book. Apparently you also missed 7-foot-tall NBA players flopping around trying to draw a foul.....every game.

    Thanks for playing, Junior

It was disastrous. It was the same set-up Sammy Braw ran against the Bears' T Formation in 1941, losing 73-0.

So rose the T, and the end of the single wing was signaled.

Except in my little town in the early 1970s.

It did not work. Plays developed too slowly.
There are a lot of small high schools throughout that still run the single wing with some success. Wouldn't be the best system to run in the pros consistently, but its basically what the Wildcat was that was all the rage a decade or so ago.

73-0 was 1940. Then Baugh and the Redskins beat the Bears for the title in 1942.....while still running the single wing. The problem against the Bears in 1940 was 8 interceptions (including 3 pick-6s). I personally think when they got down 21-0 in the first, the Redskins just mailed it in from there. 5 of those picks were thrown by backup Frankie Filchock.

The Steelers actually played the single wing until 1952, the last team to adopt the T.
