  • Dariusz Michalszewski's place in history

What is Michalszewski 's pace in history at lightheavyweight? He was the lineal champion while Roy collected the belts. He beat as good of comp as Roy Roys, and their resumrs at that weight are pretty even. The IBRO has Jones ranked 10th all time at 175, yet Michalszewski isn't in the top 20. Is this a miscarriage of justice or warranted? Dariusz had an excellent skillset. In fact I have no doubt he is the most skilled fighter besides Andre Ward and Jones since his era. He would in my opinion undoubtedly be champion today. So where should he rank historically? Certainly he has a better lightheavyweight resume than Fitzsimmons who ranks 11th on that list. My point being.....I get Jones being rated, I don't get why Michalazweski isn't when their lightheavyweight careers were so similar.

He beat Roy Jones Jr. by CO (chickened out) Roy ran and ran from this man, everybody knows this, and it will always be a huge black mark and a loss on his record. Nash out - His Majesty

Alright I'm listening, if you're gonna vouch for him being that good. What would you say is a good fight of his to watch?

His skills are on display in most of his fights i believe. Today I watched the Hill fight and Roccgigiani fights along with some highlights. His wins are not as emphatic as Jones, but his resume at that weight is in my opinion. To bad neither would budge on fighting on the other guys home turf.

Reminds me of a real boxing tragedy, two Polish lads... One from the UK, The other from America. Could not agree to meet on either home court so both agreed to meet at a midpoint. They both drowned

                  - - The money was in Germany.

Roy had a good gig with HBO, ie guaranteed $5mil fights and double duty as boxing announcer, so he stayed small instead of LARGE.

They were the two top LHs with Dariusz on the verge of breaking Rocky's perfect 49-0 record. Obviously you didn't know the backgrounds which is why you have to have others spoon feed you...yeah!!!

I actually do know the background, and I also know there have been several other fighters to surpass Marciano's 49-0, though Mayweather was the only one that retired with that 0 intact. Guess everyone is gunning for Floyd's record now, huh?
