Watching Tyson tonight was kind of sad. As an older man I was hoping he could turn back the clock and get the win. But his legs looked stuck in mud and he just couldn't pull the trigger. My trainer told me recently after my last fight that "father time waits for no one. It's the one thing you can't escape and sooner or later it will dictate your life". It didn't hit home when he said it. Maybe because I'm to stubborn. But tonight it did. It is what it is.

Who are some fighters who went on to long or tried to turn the clock back unsuccessfully? Jim Jeffries comes to mind. Sugar Ray Leonard. Who are some others? For every George Foreman or Bernard Hopkins there are dozens of guys I'm sure who thought they could pull off the big win just one last time.

The old saying is the reflexes are the first thing to go. You can have all the power in the world and it's useless if you can't deliver the punch because your reflexes are shot.
