Book that puts Max Baer in a dubious light

Allow me to direct you guys attention towards a new book that details the death of Frankie Campbell. He was infamously killed in the ring by Max Baer, but there is a lot more to it than 'just' a ring death.

The book is by Catherine Johnson and the title is 'Then the world moved on'.

I've read a bit about this incident, but I haven't yet read the book. I will though as there's allegedly some nasty details that portrays Baer as a lowlife scum.

Just a heads up from me in case you case are compiling an early wishlist christmas.

    - - I think Maxie's girl has post here in the past may have written a full bio of Max that would cast doubt on your book. Boxing is notorious for sloppy books though.

BTW, seems to be a recently installed software hierarchy now where my immediate posts are put behind perhaps some more credentialed posters like your self. We'll see where this ends up.

Possible "Cinderella man" got Max's character right......to a certain degree at least? Guess we'll have to read the book.

I believe there’s a thorough research behind this book but as you say yes. There’s plenty of sloppy books out there.

As for some new software hierarchy installed, I must say I haven’t noticed. If you can find some more evidence on it you can maybe write about it in the comments and suggestions section.

I looked it up and it appears to be meticulously researched. Sould be an interesting read to say the least.

Regarding the last bit mate, it might be your settings that has changed. Click the dropdown menu on”filter”, select “sort by” and “latest post” and that may be the cure you need.

Can you elaborate on where the "fliter" command is located. I can't find it.

                  I can try.

In the top third of the page on the line where you can select the page number…. Just to the right of that, there’s the ‘filter’ button.
