You describe your martial arts groups like a family of men who looked out for each other and were a motley crue of hardened gangsters and artists and philosophers. That is exactly how I always imagined New York and thereabouts during the 1980's. That makes sense as you train together so much. My classes were nothing like that they were just at a health club and very sterile and dull. I admire your determination to overcome serious injury and health issues. Thanks for your kind advice. I vet you're a fantastic instructor bot only because of your background and experience, but because you have a gift of explaining things and making them relatable. Now that I've called it a day on fighting I've been asked to start coaching where I train. I've always helped others, but this will be in a more official capacity. I can only hope to have the kids I my school relate to me the way I imagine your students relate to you. I absolutely admire your posts and knowledge.

I have posted quite a bit on Musk and why he is horrible to me. Strong arming share holders, doing a horrible job as CEO, that is a big one. Musk fires people with ten times the talent he has, with no concern at all for the commitment they made to his company, and then, when most CEO's would be fired two times over, is given a raise... He hires smart people, and that is the main reason people think he is so smart. Just a real POS.

Didn't Steve Jobs kinda do the same thing too?

Willie do you really believe that they could have transformed healthcare in america?
I really feel that as history passes and the clock ticks on that Nixon has slowly become more respected by the wider public? Am I wrong?
In the UK many many people hated Thatcher but as the decades have rolled on quite a few have begun to see that she did a lot of good to the UK. Some up north would kill me for saying so such as the families of coal miners.
I am not saying that she has become a hero but she was strong and she did make the UK prosperous and proud again after the terrible 1970's blackouts and tensions.
But do you really believe that those two unlikely bedfellows could have transformed health care across the whole of the USA????? Is it even possible in your country??
The NHS has become impossible to work due to the wastage of funds and the huge growth in our population.

Pat Moynihan said one of my favorite quotes of all-time I like to use "You have a right to your own opinion, but not to your own facts." In this day and age of fake news and alternate facts, that quote is even more relevant today.

The president is there to protect, and can get away with damn near anything provided he does not try to challenge the authority of another government institution that has its providence (Not divine providence by any means)... Also here is a hint: When someone grabs the throat, try moving the throat properly instead of breaking a death grip... Believe it, or not, if you turn your body in a circle (yes you can do this against a wall, in a phone booth, just a semicircle) raise your arm and shoulder, it becomes almost impossible for the gripper to keep his hold. You can even crush his hand between your shoulder and chin as you turn. Imagine grabbing a turnstile and trying to keep a throat type grip upon it...

Seriously though, Mills was in some respects a polarizing figure. I always liked him. Part of it is having some understanding of Nevada, I mean Mills really was a true resident of Reno! A real cowboy! Imagine telling Tyson "Come on come on fellas break it up!" Mills was also a judge, I always thought he carried himself like a G.

In a competition securing a choke is a chess game. Rear naked chokes are particularly hard to escape, almost impossible when locked in and done properly... that is in a ring. In a bar? If you have the presence of mind to stand up and hurtle backwards into a wall, or better yet, a few large mirrors, Watch what happens to the monkey on your back! I like a version of the choke but I do not lock it in with the arm that comes over (figure 4, pressing the back of the head), that way I have a hand free, I am not locked in with my opponent. You can always lock it in later, or even grab your own shoulder, shirt... and control the person you have locked in as a shield.

The Le ft and the extreme rig ht tend to not use much thought... What people simply do not know about Tru mp, and the reason they hate him so much is he is not part of the Washington Elites. If you read about Tru mp, like him or hate him... He came from an upper middle class family where his father made it big as a slumlord. To be elected in Washington you have to have connections family connections to the Guild.
