  • Worst knockouts at heavyweight

What are some if the most devastating knock outs we have seen at heavyweight. Be sure to double check and watch that they are pure knockouts. For example Tua vs Ruiz is a flurry of punches, same w Foreman vs Cooney

By devastating I mean the opponent is out and absolutely cannot make it to their feet without help or are sleeping.

I have a few one punch ice cold knockouts at heavyweight:

    Louis vs Braddock
    Marciano vs Walcott
    Marciano vs Layne
    Marciano vs Louis
    tua vs moorer

Yeah. All brutal ko’s. Also Johansson-Machen, Ruddock-Dokes, Whitaker-Maskaev and on and on.

I though Cooney was going to decapitate Ken Norton. That was scary.

Tyson vs Spinks. That final short right just took the lights out of Michael.

Foreman vs Moorer. Another short right hand, and that makes two times Moorer has been starched.

Rahman vs Lewis, first fight. The rematch is often quoted as a one-punch knockout for Lewis, but it's a two-punch combination as well, whereas Rahman knocked Lewis out with one punch.

To be fair, Foreman vs Cooney ends with a two-punch combination, whereas Tua vs Moorer ends with a three-punch combination. Both letal, make no mistake.

Yeah, lets try and find legit KOs. Those were brutal stoppages no doubt.

How could I forget the late Jimmy Thunder?

His first-punch knockout of Crawford Grimsley is one for the ages. Grimsley was still trying to fight while they were doing their best to bring him back to his senses.
