Why did people think Rocky Marciano would beat Floyd Patterson easily ?

    And I wouldn't say Marciano would have beaten him easily, per se. I just think he would have beaten him very brutally. 10 knockdowns, broken ribs, blood everywhere. Floyd's career would be hijacked.

      L i s t o n was an incredible fighter. If you think about that and hypothesize that liston was chronically underrated it makes a Marciano match a little bit more intriguing.

      in my misguided opinion I think Liston may have been one of if not the top heavyweight of all time. I mean I'm talking when he was at his best.

        This is exactly what would happen. I think 1 knockdown and floyds finished though. Floyd wasn’t built to take that kind of leveraged power. He would sleep Floyd. The peekaboo style gets obliterated by rockys style
