The Fight That Guaranteed A HOFer's Spot In The IBHOF

With him, fame and marketability were the driving forces. American, English speaking, white, bright & polite. S.I. covers, multiple network appearences and a Great back story. These things only tangentially affect greatness, but directly affect FAME. When Warren Zevon writes a song about Artur Beterbiev and a made for TV movie comes out on the life of Terrence Crawford; let me know.
Aside from that, Jose Luis Ramirez, Arturo Frias and Bobby Chacon are respectable scalps.

ali and his mental decline may have nothing to do with boxing as the condition he had was not really connected.Comment

yes queeny but it's easier to post when you are sleeping in silk sheets then it is to be out there hungry posting controversial posts. i know when i am posting at 4am that my forum opponent like queeny is sleeping under silk sheets and it gives me the edge in our arguements!

Not to mention joining NOI, ect, ect...Comment

if we look at natural talent as opposed to learned talent then ali, fury and iron mike are greatest with max baer and joe louis and lewis behind. now how can anyone disagree with that? naturals they are. also they made you want to watch whereas k sisters no one really gave a damn.Comment

okay there is a link. see i will always stand corrected. Queenie can never accept correction on his part and whereas i am posting the hard way he in his silk pyjama's is not hungry for truth anymore.
Also that what he said makes me think of daniel duboius when he lost with eye injury and many here said he should have gone out on his shield.
Ali paid the price for being great. the k sisters especially vlad quit in their losses and then cried and cried about foul play like mary lou wetting her pink panties on the way to the prom.
1122aa.webp queeny at his texas boxing club!!!!

The Pottawatomie Giant was just lucky. johnson let him win you must know that. still, you are known here as a stickler for the rules. he tried to stall all the fights for 3 years after rather than fight dempsey.
"Nine months later, however, Johnson dramatically changed his tune. On Jan. 2, 1916, Johnson, for a $250 fee paid by RING publisher Nat Fleischer, released a combination handwritten/typewritten confession that he threw the Willard fight in exchange for undisturbed re-entry into the United States and $50,000 in cash. Johnson said the original agreement was to have him end the fight in round 11 once his wife indicated the money was in hand. But when that round came and went, Johnson continued to fight and because he thought he was being double-crossed, he fought to win. Then, after the end of round 24, he said he saw his wife, Lucille Cameron Johnson, give the predetermined signal – one version was the wave of a white handkerchief while another was a nod of her head – and “I let the fight end as it did.”
even good man willie pep can't argue against this evidence for sure!
To quote you queeny "what grade you being held back this year, stop eating ungutted snails!Last edited by max baer; 02-02-2024, 02:15 AM.Comment

He didn't have to beat up Willard for 25 rounds to throw a fight. In fact, guaranteed he bet on hisself because Willard was so poorly regarded.
Nor did he have to get KOed Cold, lifeless for several minutes to throw the fight, but after losing his wad he sure needed $$$ and Nat was an easy mark and folks in the US bought his lie because fightfilms in the US had been banned so no citizens could see the great Jack Johnson dead cold on the canvas.
