Already from the Frank Bruno fight in 1989, with Jay Bright and Aaron Snowell working his corner, Tyson's skills were deteriorating quite a bit. In fact, Bruno was the first one ever to put him in danger of getting knocked down, in the first round.

Lest we forget, Bright and Snowell are the ones who used a condom in lieu of the endswell in the Douglas fight. Before which - as reported in the aforementioned book, Undisputed Truth - Tyson was spending his pre-fight time having *** with the waitresses of his hotel rather than training.
Can you put a round time on that? I couldn't see it.

0'40" to 0'45". Tyson was seriously shaken, the effects of Bruno's punches lasted for a while.

The prime version was never tested in that department, such was his superiority on the opponents. So we'll never know what would have happened.

I seriously doubt that a man who in his prime was almost knocked out by Bert Cooper, and given hell by Alex Stewart, would have beaten a prime Mike Tyson. But - again - it's just speculation.
Well, as you've already acknowledged a past-prime holyfield beat a past-prime Tyson so, other than just speculation and opinion, that's probably the closest measure we have.

We've seen him in his prime getting schooled and then knocked out. We've seen him past his prime getting schooled and knocked out as well.

Written in the history books, no way to change it.
A non-Tyson mark is still a mark. Stan or hater makes no difference.

its complicated... They were actually close at one time, then Mike did the unthinkable, there really is a culture regarding how blunt New Yorkers can be lol. I tend to think Teddy acts like an a s s to most... Lol.

The Klitschkos were nothing close to the dominance of Mike Tyson.

Unless, of course, you consider fighting half of the bout and then holding for the other half equals greatness.

Oh Knight, who until recently, called himself NEE

Unfortunately that's what the punch counters have done to the fight game. If what you are trained to do, is to win 10-9 rounds, and then call yourself a prize fighter, then punching and grabbing works just fine. People call these fighters great all the time. Sad!

Punch counting is for the amateurs, not the pros.

                      I agree 100%..................Rockin'
