My life couldn't be better , met with friends to watch our local Rugby team win Saturday, and had all the kids and grandkids round yesterday, then went to the pub to listen to a girl singer and play cards, won about £50.
I recently celebrated my 75th Birthday with friends in Paris.

If I die soon I have had a good, very full life, done just about everything I have wanted to do, visited 24 countries, ate in some of the best restaurants around the world, seen many of the great entertainers including Sinatra,Bennett,Mathis ,Jones,Streisand,Vaughn,Minelli,Dietrich,Greco, Smith,Cohen,McKuen, and some good fighters ,such as Ali,Hagler,Buchanan,Fury,Minter, etc.

Going out with friends and relatives Xmas Eve.Spending Xmas Day with friends.
I am, comfortably fixed financially and in a position to help my kids when they need it.
I retired at 56 ,and now 19 years later , each day is a bonus!
    Life for me is Great!

Do you seriously imagine I would care what an insignificant POS like you thinks of me?lol

      - - I retired age 50, but I don't go around bragging about it. Don't eat at restaurants either. My cooking and natural wood fired grilling is vastly superior.

In fact, my two boys wanted me to start a restaurant after years of feeding their friends the only homecooked meals they ever had in their fast food lives...yeah!!!

If you don't go to restaurants how do you know your cooking is vastly superior to theirs?

I win while you content to snarf fried snails.

What is your take on why Johnson or Dempsey did not fight Jeff Clark and Jack Dillion?

Apart from a decision win over an out of shape Langford in1912, what did Clarke ever do to merit a fight with Johnson?
Dillon was past his best by some distance when Dempsey reached his prime.

Clark beat Langford in 1914, Kid Norfolk in 1915, Drew with Harry Wills in 1913. These men were better than anyone Johnson beat in title defenses from 1909-1914! Ya think? I would say he deserved challenge.

Johnson also did not fight Jack Dillon, who beat Fireman Flynn ( he ko'd Dempsey in 1 ), Battling Levinksy , Gunboat Smith ( who floored Johnson is TKO'd him in a sparring match ) Frank Moran, among others.

I'd say both Clark and Dillion derived title shots from Johnson.

Now I was talking to Queensberry, not you.

                  Duck duck duck...Johnson.

Yes he beat Langford in 1914, Langford was out of shape, this is confirmed by Clay Moyle in his excellent biography of Sam.
Langford dropped Clark in the 1 st rd and Clark ran like a thief .

Clark beat Norfolk in May 1914 Johnson had lost his title in April! Oops! lol
Dillon deserved a title shot against Johnson?
Johnson won the title in1908 the year Dillon turned pro.
Name ONE HEAVYWEIGHT Dillon beat during Johnson's title reign Dec 1908 -April1915, that would have justified Johnson defending against him?
You are not properly wired up!!!!

Tell you what; Dr Duck. Make a thread stating Johnson ducked Clark and Dillon and we can see what support you get for it?

                      - - No, I'm quite pleased to publicly flame your panties into a twist on a boxing forum.

Best meal I ever ate was out Carrizo Springs by the Mexican border where a friend and his wife lived in an Airstream on Pop's ranch while they built themselves a house.

Fired up a big mess of Mesquite into coals to grill a Venison Tenderloin pulled from a deer hunting expedition bolstered with some spuds. I kept everything marinated with some Mescal I'd bought in Laredo.

We polished off the whole lot in perfect unison with no scraps left save a freshly drained bottle of Mescal...
