Winky had a tendency to put the earmuffs on while standing in the pocket and counter punching. He didn't have a very fan-friendly style and fans never really took to him.

That is like saying Nicholas Cage was in a great movie. But wait, he was in it.

Winky Wright, one great boxer who had just enough power, he got things done doe. A guy that I sparred with, on the daily, fought him in a title match. Sharp skill, fast hands and great eyes. .............Rockin'

Wink was no swarmer. He used the "peekabo" guard and I would call him a boxer. Rockin describes why this style works so well for Wink, with great hands and good eyes a talented fighter can find holes and attack.
