Lewis stopped Epps you say? No, he did not! But you wrote that he did.

      You're a bad LIAR.

PS: Ocasio was best known as a cruiser weight as he won his WBA title there. He was short for a modern heavyweight and had a short reach. Yet he dropped a close decision to Lewis, past his best. He was for his part slick.

      Now just shut up.
You have been exposed as a lying, agenda driven fool.,its; time for you to bail out of your own thread !lol

It was a reasonably close fight, and that is it. He said he would not fight anymore south paws. He did not fight and tricky skilled orthodox fighters either like say James Toney, or Jonh Ruiz whom he dropped a belt rather than face.

No fights vs. Chris Byrd either or Corrie Sanders either. At they very least there is some smoke here. Perhaps a fire.

        Thoughts?
What? Yeah he ducked the almighty Johnny Ruiz... the quiet man... Stoney, his trainer and the loud man actually threw more punches during a bout than Ruiz. And who did Lewis Fight when forsaking the virtual Mongol Hordes that was Ruiz? He fought a guy who most considered a dangerous opponent, Michael Grant. Lewis exposed Grant because at the time of the fight the fans, and virtually all the pundits thought Ruiz was nothing special and that Grant could hurt and even beat Lewis.

Corrie Sanders was a friend of lewis and never had a legit claim to fight him, Didn't Hassim Rahman beat Sanders for the Lewis fight? I don't know if this is correct.

Generally speaking lewis did not duck anyone. He fought who the fans thought he should, which is why he didn't want Ruiz who never had a chance against him.

Only slow starter here is you Queen B... Slow starter, slow in the Middle, and slow ender you are!

It seems there may be at least two around here here who make up anything they want and blithely present it as fact. Well, either that or you make stuff up even better than Z does.

Speaking of those two, it looks like a marriage may be in the works. You be the best man, Billeau can play the preacher and I will give away the groom, if I can figure out which one it is..

Dr Z's hatred of Lewis stems from Lennox's stoppage of his vanilla hero Vitali.
Z claims Lewis used illegal tactics to cause the 64 stitches needed to close the Ukrainian's cuts.

Well, was he a neutral lefty? Do you know? He was certainly mobile and defensive. The type Lewis avoided. Maybe Lewis fought 0 southpaws than by design.

Here is a good post, not mine on converted Southpaws.

I know in the old days left handed fighters often had to convert to orthodox to get fights. But I can't help but think it severely limited guys like Frazier and ****ey. I've always wondered how good these guys might have been had they fought from their natural southpaw stance.

Bottom line is, I think its a lot easier to train your weaker hand to throw hooks and jabs then it is to train it to throw from the back. Very few fighters in history could throw their weak hand effectively from the back. Converting gives you a great left hook but if the other fighter can avoid it you are in trouble without a backhand power shot

                    That is gold.
