Because he had destroyed Max Baer who had stopped Schmeling ,Louis got ****y and over confident and for the first and only time disregarded
Blackburn's advice spending more time on the golf course, and with women than training. This is confirmed in Louis' auto biography.

Actually the older Sanders hurt his leg and could not do road work. True story. Louis trained fine for Scheming want was un-injured in camp.

Louis was stopped by Marciano when he was 37 years old and had no business being in a boxing ring

.Louis was stopped by SCHMELING, correct spelling , and Max had to land a ton of right hands to accomplish it.

Louis was beaten by Charles when he came out of a 2years and 3 months retirement.

"Sanders is unlike ANY of Louis' top opponents. He was a legit puncher?"

Schmeling,Max Baer,Walcott ,Galento, were not legit punchers?

I did not mention the poorly skilled short and fat Galento nor did ( or his numerous losses ) . I talk did not talk about the scared Max Baer who had to be pushed out of his dressing room.

But Schmeling knocked Louis out, Walcott was shafted on the score cards and floored Louis 2 x, and the very short and fat Galento knocked Louis down! That happened. Yes they were legit punchers, as was Sanders. Yet Sanders had the faster hands and reach edge. He was also a south law which Louis and his handlers did not

Are you saying the Sanders was not older fighter? Are you saying Sanders was a very active fighter like Louis was when those things happened to him? Please. Louis was not that far gone, he had won something like ten fights in a row when he fought Marciano, including a victory over Jimmy Bivins. Rocky's style and unique energy pressured Louis and took him out. Louis himself said he did not like to be crowded. And Rocky lacked big fight experience prior to meeting Louis. Charles really beat Louis badly.

I say again Sanders can easily win this fantasy fight. Did Joe Louis every fight a south paw? Louis said he avoided Bettina, he was a southpaw. He avoided the southpaw Maxie Rosenbloom too.

Louis on his search for another bum in the club sparred with the lhw champ to see how it is to fight southpaws.

After the session his publicly announced he would never fight a southpaw Hmmm....

It was like they were bad for business like being black was. So the excuse goes. You could argue they were worse. Louis only fought 2 men of color in his 26 title defenses, which is shameful. That man could not see well, and it was his last fight. The other one was named Joe Walcott, of you prefer Arnold Cream.

        These are the facts.

It reliably reported that Louis shirked his training for the first Louis fight.
Do I have to post quotes from him to prove it?

You lie automatically don't you. What I mean is whenever a poster makes a remark that contradicts your hate agendas, you have a Pavlovian response, immediately resorting to lying.

            .
            Rosenbloom was not a Southpaw.

Okay so that was a rare mistake by me. It does not change the fact that both men used the color line. Louis definitely avoided Southpaws. He wasn't an A$$ like Jack Johnson tough who wanted to be the only black heavyweight champion in history and rooted for Max.

                Happy now?

                  - - Sanders was an incredibly quick starting KO artist Southpaw with size and athleticism over most heavies, ie boxing was part time job where he was blacklisted for being a South African.

He made his $$$ playing rugby and golf.

Ol' timers are particularly vulnerable to southpaws who have taken over modern boxing by the numbers in spite of being a tiny portion of the population. They were not allowed to fight southpaw in the day because they couldn't get matches, so they switched orthodox.

Joe was a slow starter in general, very vulnerable to Corrie. Legend has no bearing in potential fights.

How much you lose this year on fights?

It's actually well documented in the book by Art and Edna Rust. The way he dismantled Max In the second fight leaves little doubt.
