Hopefully he will fulfill his potential and win the world title one day. Even if it takes him 4 or 5 more he'll be plenty young. Who was the last heavyweight champion under 25?
yeah i agree. i can't see anyone beating that record it was amazing. people who really watch up and comers and can judge their moves can see if or if not they look good or look great.

do you reckon moses itauma has a chance anytime soon willow? i came across him by accident and he is so young and talented according to some fans.
A lot can happen, but if he were to snag a title inside the next 24 months he can set a new age record. In an environment where the average top 10 heavyweight is just a shade under 37, that would be some accomplishment! He looks good, but so early to tell if he's going all the way. It's such a long journey to get there. I've seen very talented young fighters flounder so unexpectedly. Let's face it; some fights are like putting your body through a car wreck and it never responds the same way again. Pedestrian fans sometimes see fighters as video game characters, but they're real flesh and bone.
A few other prospects now at about the same level include Antonio Mireles, 7-0, Chibuike Ogbuagu, 6-0, Frazer Clarke, 6-0, Haruna Mohammed, 1-0, Taimoor Khan, 8-0, D'vocia Demack Walker, 6-0, Davis Adeleye, 11-0, Sean Bey, 7-0, Deontae Pettigrew, 9-0, Solomon Dacres, 6-0, Gunnar Kolbeinn Kristinsson, 13-0, Felix Parada, 8-0, Andrews Salgado, 4-0, Nelson Hysa, 8-0, Roney Hines, 12-0, Skylar Lacy, 6-0, Thomas Carty, 5-0, Jeamie Tshikeva, 5-0, Christian Thun, 8-1, Dardan Avdylaj, 10-0, Arslan Yallyev, 14-0, James Evans, 5-0, Steve Robinson, 6-1, Nick Campbell, 5-1, Dante Stone, 12-1 and the like. Most will fall by the wayside and my own thoughts are that a lot of they will long before Moses Itauma does.

now you say it i agree, i wasn't thinking correctly and you are right about how fights gone badly can destroy or at least ebb away at a young mans confidence and cause him to lose his winning streak and mojo early on which trainers definately don't want.
The way I was thinking was more to do with how british boxers are so very often pushed to the top big fights sooner as the promoters feel they can cash in on them sooner then an eastern european fighter. There must be an extra boost a fighter gets by dint of being born british as they seem to get more box office cash in for promoters then some boxer from say latvia wouldn't you agree?
But you are right what you said spot on.
Look at daniel debouis after that cut eye loss everyone in boxing circles were arguing he should have gone out on his sword while others agreed he was right to quit and i feel debouis lost some of his sparkle due to that and it happened so early in his career. Like jab said moses needs to be brought along steady not too fast.
Now you say it willow I agree you are right.

I don't think either. Tyson b was a claimant, Patterson was the youngest Lineal.

Yup. Tyson was just a beltholder until he fought Spinks.

What matters historically is that some time in the next 24 Months, these fights must be made so that this moment of tremendous heavyweight talent isn't wasted:

                1. Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk
                2. Deontay Wilder vs. Anthony Joshua
                3. Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua
                4. Tyson Fury vs. Zhilei Zhang
                5. Deontay Wilder vs. Jared Anderson

                Incidently:
Anderson has a very tough assignment this summer against Kossobutskiy in the fight to determine whether or not the big push behind him actually holds water. If he passes the test, and wins a couple of fights vs. Top 20 types; a passing of the torch for next US standard bearer will be earned.

                - - What matters is he bricked his shorts for the Wlad rematch and the Saudi fight with AJ making everyone that much poorer. How much of your figures was supplied illicitly by MTK?

AJ is welcome to fight around the world. Blubber is restricted even visiting a large swath of civilization.

Amazing, considering the situation Tyson was still close to actually doing it. He was just a few months older than Patterson when he took out Spinks. (I think).

Patterson got there because of a retirement and had to only win one fight.

Tyson had to go through four fights, all with top tier fighters (all, some kind of claimant).

Tyson's ferocity to the top (KO title run) is matched only by Dempsey's run to the title. It's special.

And likely, it will be some time long before someone again takes out "four consecutive champions" at such a young age.

Tyson's run to the lineal title is unprecedented. It is his HOF achievement.

But I go with the trivia answer rule: the answer is Patterson, not Tyson.
