When did you start watching boxing?
One punch, and he couldn't pull it off. Wow, I think that says enough right there.

If it were only that easy. Only a scrub like you who never actually fought before would think this way.

Oh steroids if you want to know the truth have been around since the 1930's. Ali was ejected by stuff all the time by Dr. Ferdie Pacheco. The advantages such as height and reach matter in boxing period. Ask some of the fighters in the gym if you must, they will tell you! The they are not lab manufactured!

I was not the one who brought up 15 rounds. The thread is about boxing and the other sports. Athletes are getting bigger and better. Now if you ant to ague that Fury would be better off at 250 lbs instead of 270 + with fat packed on him, I would agree.

Height and reach and weight DO matter in any rules fight, as do a list of other things (!). Mass is an important one, hence the need for weight classes in sport fighting. Until....you reach "the dufus threshold ". Thats when superior height, weight deliver diminishing returns and the presumed disadvantages in speed, snap, maneuverability, stamina, technique execution, etc. Begin to overtake the bigger bulk in terms of their respective influence on the outcome. The divergence of how post 1900 iterations of team sports developed and how boxing science has developed along very, very different time frames is a more complex discussion.

What boxers were taking steroids in the 1930's? Height and reach do matter. But as Usyk proved, not as much as skill. And the big men today are just not very skilled. Like I said, there will always be exceptions.

Did you know they did tests proving Jesse Owen's would be nearly or just as fast (I don't remember off hand) as Usain Bolt? And Bolt is so much bigger and more defined? Bigger doesn't always translate to better.
