Why do people still put Joe Louis as the best HW with his outdated and poor mechanics?

About 35llbs heavier than he should have actually been fighting at, and about 35lbs less than Vits. And he still made Vits quit. That is something the great Joe Louis would never do.

Did he ever fight with a torn shoulder? Louis did not quit un-injured that is true. But he did deliver a mean low blow when on Schmeling just before ( round 11 or 10 I think ) the KO.

Did you see that on film? Asking you. It happened in the moment when Louis needed a break and he got one. The media does not show that! Gee I wonder why.

Louis low guard, lack of head movement, cement slow footwork and shuffling feet, and his stick is face forward chin were exposed by Schmeling. Schmeling closed Louis eye and hit him when he pleased.

NOPE Louis also closed Schmeling's eye and cut him below it.
Max hit him after the bell to end 5th round had rung.

In the 6th round Louis' stepfather Pat Brooks was yelling at Blackburn to throw in the towel Louis told Blackburn," no matter how hurt I get dont throw in the towel ,don't stop it."

Louis said by the 6th round he was fighting solely on instinct In the 8th and 12 th rounds Louis said he tried to mount body attacks but he was in so much of a fog that he hit Schmeling low twice .
Anybody but you believe Louis would deliberately foul an opponent ?
In the dressing room after the fight.
"When I came around I asked Roxie what I was doing wrong.I didn't hear a single thing he was saying, until he said I had hit Schmeling a couple of low blows .That made me feel even worse.I sent Roxie over to Schmeling's dressing room to apologise for me and to tell him I did't know what I was doing and that I didn't intentionally hit him low.
When he came back Roxie said Schmeling was real nice about it and he understood I didn't and wouldn't pull a low blow on purpose" Joe Louis
Schmeling did not hit Louis when he pleased that is just your usual BS.It was named the Fight Of The Year!

In his autobiography Louis said he never really recovered from a right hand in the 2nd round,Louis said he didn't know how he stayed on his feet.

          If Louis had all the faults you say he had ;

"low guard, lack of head movement, cement slow footwork and shuffling feet, and his stick is face forward chin".

How come nobody else took advantage of them for years? Explain that to us?

How come nobody beat him for the next 14 years?
How come he wasn't ko'd again until his last fight 17 years later?
How come Schmeling did'nt repeat his success in their second fight?
Did Louis correct all those glaring faults in the ensuing 2 years between their 2 fights ?

You talk so much **** .
You should have a toilet roll glued onto your chin!

Bottom line....Louis never quit, Vits did. And if Louis was so easy and predictable than why didn't Schmeling win the rematch, or anyone else best him for a dozen more years? And everyone knows Louis got a big head and trained on the golf course the first Schmeling fight. He deserved to lose, but it didn't show the fighter he truly was.

Louis had destroyed Max Baer who had ko'd Schmeling,he thought it would be a walk in the park, he was golfing seeing girls and not training as he should have one blip and this hating fool wants to crucify Louis. If the fight was so one sided as this cretin implies ,by saying Schmeling hit Louis when he pleased you have to wonder why such a one sided fight got awarded the Ring's Fight Of The Year?

Disparaging Louis' skills while praising modern day HW's...okay, which of today's HWs have better all around skills? Ruiz, Whyte, Wilder, Helenius, Wallin, Pulev, Martin, Miller, Breazeale, Stiverne, Arreola...you telling us they are somehow more skilled or advanced? LMAO! Usyk and Fury are the only two who show any degree of skill and reflexes.

I think Frank Sanchez has some skills?

Yes, I don't mean to disparage all modern day HWs, but a majority of them are flat-footed, fat, and fairly one-dimensional. Jab, straight right hand, an occasional hook, very little body work, clunky footwork, low stamina, poor defense. Louis knew how to cut off the ring, create traps, work the body, slip a jab, counter-punch, close the distance. I don't see a lot or any of that from most modern HWs.

174 for his 2nd to last fight. In training recently for a "comeback" that probably won't happen and HOPEFULLY won't happen, he's been weighing 168. So boiled down to the kind of shape fighers used to (often) be in for those long distances and frequent fight road trips more common in the olden days? Ya, the size of Johnson, Dempsey, Louis era contenders or smaller....this Vitali slayer.
                      Interesting fur shurrrr.
