Why do people still put Joe Louis as the best HW with his outdated and poor mechanics?

What is this? Joe Louis a paid fight of 3 rounds to Johnny Miller? Louis hit the canvas seven times. He lost the match under Joe Barrow.

This match does not appear in Joe Louis page for amateur fights in box rec.

Wrong. It was his first amateur fight.

So if his mechanics aged poorly, why are we to assume that he as a fighter aged well??

He couldn't have fought that crouched way against modern fighters. No way. Jose

Not everything is bad ofc, but if you'r fundamental stance is ****ty, nothing else matters. He doesn't have any solid core and he's easy to hit for a modern professional fighter (unlike the bozos he fought). His speed is mediocre at best. Not even that would compensate.
Probably because 99 percent of the people who pretend to be boxing fans don't what they are talking about? Joe Louis was small but not only that he was slow on his feet. He couldn't take a punch, he was physically weak. Joe Louis looked good because of how bad his opposition were. These guys weren't called the "Bum of the Month" Club for nothing. In term of logic and reality Joe Louis isn't even a top 100 heavyweight of all time. He was a good who looked good in his weak era.

Mr ****** attempts to **** on Joe Louis once again. No surprise there!
Debutee amateur Joseph Barrow had 2 amateur fights on May the 11 th 1932,
He won the first against Jack Tracy over 4 rds .and lost the second against Johnny Miler.
Louis was 2 days past his 18th birthday.
Source CBZ. It took 30 seconds to find that ,but if you are a bigoted halfwit, not looking for the truth any old scrap of unverified nonsense ,any piece of rubbish will do to tear down a great champion.
Some people should have their fingers glued together so they cannot type sewage that infects forums like a virus.
Having, said that this clown types like his fingers are glued together! lol
Or take a cue from ESB, and permanently ban such morons.

Lol yeah I am a troll because I know more about boxing than you do and I am smart enough to realize Joe Louis looked good because of the poor level of opponents he faced. Learn about boxing kid then get back with me.

Joe Louis did not have poor mechanics, especially punching mechanics. The style of fighting in his era was perfect for him. He exemplified that style. That said, he ain't no top 10 AT heavyweight either, but he is top 20. I can't fault anyone who puts him in their top 10.

Poor sitting duck Quarry will be KO'd, of course, after landing some good punches of his own. The problem for moderns is that Joe fights equally well at all ranges, which they usually do not, being one trick ponies or half-trick ponies in most cases. No fighter is lacking in fundamentals when trained by Jack Blackburn. Joe just has to take them where they are weakest. He dispatches oafs like Chisora without much trouble. His problem is with the top guys. Wilder or Fury would kill him, unless the fight makes the later rounds, where it becomes an even proposition. Joe could still punch hard late in the fight. This could spell doom for today's oafs who usually bring a spare tire with them.

Poor level of opponents? Do tell. Because by my country off the top of my head he fought 6 hall of famers going 6-2, and 8 heavyweight champions going 8-3 and 2 lightheavyweight champions going.2-0. Besides Ali, he fought the highest rated contenders per average during his career. Learn some boxing g troll alt and get back to me.
