It's clear as day that you have no clue what so ever about that era of boxing.

I just pointed out the glaring example which was Freddie Welsh, but there's plenty others that you are clearly clueless about with your comments.

I mean, you literally just said that Freddie Welsh, the #1 Lightweight on the Planet at the time, was a "stay busy" fight.

You then said there's no footage of him, then when I corrected you that there was, you then came back by saying he "lunges and is crude" So what happened to there being no footage of him 5 minutes earlier according to you, genius? You obviously went on Youtube and watched the few pieces of footage they have on there and have made that incredibly poor assessment.

The fact you described Freddie Welsh as "crude" is just embarrassing mate. You seriously should quit while you're miles behind at this point.
You are clinging to Welsh as if he is an ATG, he was not. You're splitting hairs, most of the fighters on Ivich's list were in fact stay busy fights. You couldn't provide any specifics when I asked you what made Welsh so great? You have nothing to offer besides snarky responses and a quest for the last word. When you can tell me what specifically made him such a great fighter let me know. I already pointed out that he was a defensive fighter who relied heavily on clinching, and had a sloppy offense. He was crude in his style, prove me wrong.

Not by you or anyone else on this forum. You have been proven wrong more than any other poster on here, you're just too stubborn and dense to admit when you are wrong. A trait common amongst cult members such as yourself.

Well, he is an ATG and most notable historians would agree with that.

But regardless, that's neither here nor there. I'm not "clinging" onto Welsh, I was baffled that you used Welsh as an example of a "stay busy fight with no footage of him"

When A. He was the #1 Lightweight in the world at the time

And B. There is footage of him.

So you were entirely wrong on both accounts.

Like I said previously I only single out Welsh because that was the most ridiculous of your examples that you tried to use.

I would consider more revision on this topic and return to it at a later date.

Still no specific examples of what qualifies Welsh as an ATG I see. Welsh got lumped in with a list of fighters I was pointing out to Ivich that I didn't consider all that impressive.

The footage of Welsh is not going to make a compelling case for his greatness. You have yet to provide any context for his greatness other than to say "historians consider him great". I want to hear in your own words why you think he was so great. What about his skills as a boxer was so great?

His best wins came against smaller featherweights.

I thought you said there's no footage on Welsh?

Are you going to explain how you consider the Lightweight champion of the world a "stay busy fight" like you absurdly tried to claim?

Just admit you were wrong and keep it moving mate.

It's the literal equivalent to saying Robert Duran's win over Ken Buchanan was a stay busy fight.

It's a totally asinine thing to say and you were objectively wrong about it.
