Note the words here, the say Ring Magazine, not boxing news or boxing monthly

          https://boxrec.com/wiki/index.php/Vi...Odlanier_Solis

          Vitali beat:
          • 15 opponents (12 by KO) beaten for the World Heavyweight Title.
          • Record in world title fights: 15-2 (12 KO)
          • Record against former, current and future world titlists: 7-2 (6 KO)
And by my record he is 8-2 vs Ring Magazine opponents at the time the match happened.

Still think I'm wrong now? You may be good friends with him but don't let that influence this particular small case, let the facts rule.

When I have time on working a my own Vitali Kitschko thread is ranking him vs. history of heavyweights. It will be loaded with facts when it's ready. Let me know if you want a preview of it. My thinking is some points made will surprise quite a few people and laid out in such way where the points made are undeniable.
The words was that Solis was the no. 10 contender. It doesn’t say where he was no. 10. I don’t read it as in Ring Magazine but more likely WBC.

Now stop it or post a pic of the actual ring magazine where Solis was no. 10. I’m not gonna be trolled here.

              • I read the Wiki article - it is vague as to where he was ranked but if the gramer is correct then he was either ranked #10 by The Ring or the writer can't write.

Vitali Klitschko entered as The Ring Magazine No. 1 heavyweight contender and Solis was the No. 10 contender.

Someone want to explain to me how "viewers" can be "averaged" ?

The fight averaged 10.98 million viewers in Germany.

Isn't "viewer" a lot like being pregnant, either you viewed it or you didn't. What the hell does "averaged" mean?

I have never encountered a TV rating that included the word "averaged" unless it included multiple presentations (I guess).

I have that guy on ignore but he's still getting seriously annoying. If Cliff said something it's as good as gold: You can assume it was researched and not made carelessly. Of all the people Z could make a crusade against and he picks Cliff Rold? Seriously? That's the hill he wants to die on?

Averaged, as I understand it in this regard, is the average of the measured number of viewers at certain points of the broadcast. Just as when you have a football game. There's a certain number to the first half and a certain number for the second. The average is then the total combined number of viewers divided by 2.

Wiki is a useful source but also full of misinformation here's an example.
"Jim Jeffries was 6 feet one and a half."He wasn't he was measured at an even six feet in a doctor's surgery.
"Jeffries broke the ribs of three opponents in title fights: Jim Corbett, Gus Ruhlin and Tom Sharkey. " Jeffries did not break any of Corbett or Ruhlin's ribs.

That's two mistakes in one little piece!

                      Here's another regarding Jack Dempsey.
After the United States entered World War I in 1917, Dempsey worked in a shipyard and continued to box.
Dempsey had his photo taken in a bib and brace overall holding a rivet gun ,but he never worked in a ship yard, nor did any riveting, he had patent leather shoes on that day and when that was spotted Dempsey got the Bronx Cheer!
