Even the greatest fighters have weaknesses. Maybe they compensate with other talents. Sometimes they are quite lacking in one department or another. Who fits this description?
Weaknesses of Great Fighters.

Camacho had no KO punch. He could beat you up pretty good with lightening fast combinations but the opponent didn't need to worry about walking into one big shot. -

Okay remember I'm high. What bothers me about Hagler is he's not busy enough. He did beat Antufermo but it was a close fight. For 6 or 7 rounds Antufermo out worked Hagler. Duran was another close fight, in about 6 rounds not only did Duran out work him he also out boxed him. Leonard once again a close fight. I thought Sugar out work him for 7 rounds and won the fight. Hagler was a great fighter and a first ballet HOFer. In some big fights he doesn't work hard enough.Comment

Mayweather's lack of punching power. Outside of an off-guard Ortiz and McGregor, Mayweather barely KO's anyone from 147-154 and didn';t have many once leaving 135. If he had power on those shots, he would have been complete.Comment

Lacking a KO punch seems to apply to quite a few great pugilists. Stamina would be another with a big following. Chin is yet another. The chin of Hearns was a little fragile, but he was not among the worst. Now Terry Norris, there was a weak chin. Terry probably would be a great fighter, if he only had a chin.
I could while away the hours
Conferrin' with the flowers,
Consulting with the rain;
And my head I'd be a scratchin'
While my thoughts are busy hatchin'
If I only had a chin.

Roy Jones, his chin. Some will disagree, but I believe Jones was good enough not to get cracked, and when he was...
James Toney Discipline. James Toney was such a natural in the ring... I often think of Toney when I am reminded of a passage in a book where a Jesuit describes the look of a Mongolian on his horse... as though the two were one creature, every move, every gesture anticipated by each individual being, every such gesture complimented spontenously and naturally...
Toney moving in the ring at times elevated the art of boxing, his carefully minimized movements, his self assurance, his technical chops... one wonders how well he would have done with more discipline.
Ezzard Charles and Max Bauer. Both men were cursed to be decent, compassionate human beings... Both men unfortunately, as a result of their abilities felt responsible for causing death in the ring. As a result of this feeling both men felt obligated to minimize, put the breaks on their devistating punching capabilities. If both men had just been stone cold killers, and were actually spurred on by their "power" might they have been greater fighters?
Tyson Fury. Tyson has a physical handicap that inhibit his ability as a fighter.... he has two a s s e s... one can often see one arse sticking out above the other one when Fury, who does not hide the defect is seen in his skivies. This might actually be an advantage because to kick Tyson's arse one must in fact kick both of them!Comment
