How Many Current Champions Do You Think Are Or Will Become ATG's?

Which of the current crop of world champions do you think are, or will become All Time Greats?

There are 6 current champions that would end up in Up State New York if they retired this moment: Fury, Usyk, Canelo, GGG, Crawford, Inoue. In lieu a more uniform definition of ATG, I'll run with that as the goal post. I figure Spence, Haney, and Stevens (all current champions) as well as one of the current champs at 175 end up putting in enough work to earn their spot there too.

I suspect, a few years down the road Lomachecko ends up in the hall as well. There is already a legendary status assigned to him (which I don't understand) and a decade down the road the legend will likely grow, as they all seem to do, and he'll get voted in.

But I suspect he doesn't get in his first year eligible.

Has Usyk earn it yet? When it comes to the current game I am a very casual fan. I only know of Usyk for his two AJ fights. One was a great brawl, the other almost a snooze fest. Unless something bigger happens with him he probably gets in the hall, but like Loma, not his first year eligible.

Unlike Loma, with Usyk there is a good chance something very exciting might be coming soon.

          IMHO

I agree Loma will be in the HOF, but he is not a current champion

You couldn't make this thread easy and say HOF lol... A place where Gatti wound up. So hard to say... Canelo probably, Fury maybe... the rest are undetermined.

Good question that. I don't know the contemporary scene particularly well. I can name a few possibilities instead of looking for a number. Possibly Lopez because he has a great start, but needs to do much more. The winner of Fury/Usyk stands a good chance, but the loser does not. Canelo stands a chance, whereas it is too late for Golovkin, who is a hall of famer first ballot nonetheless.

People like Tank Davis don't even have a start yet, because they will not fight anyone meaningful so far. Crawford and Spence waited so long that their proposed fight can now do little for their historical legacies. Lomachenko has some work to do to get back in the running, which I believe he can do if he sticks to the right weight.

These days the youngsters do not fight often enough and pass enough tests for us to make a good determination of their chances of being an ATG. Ryan Garcia has not passed any important tests yet, has he?

The Hall of Fame is no measure of All Time Greatness. Many questionable people make a Hall or two. All time greatness is a far less populous domain.

I could very well be wrong ,but I think Loma may be past his peak, and going up in weight he has not looked so dominant.Probably he stayed too long as an amateur.

I don't give any gravitas to HOF, it's a popularity contest as far as I'm concerned.
