Before you act like a few lbs makes someone taller and wider don't forget Foreman got as light as 236 lbs in his comeback. The heaviest in his first run was around 232 (on the scale) and obviously the leanest prime version is probably 222-224
DoN't Let Better resolution 4ktv fool U
You also notice they had to lie about Foremans height in his comeback, with no hair he stood 6 ft 4 in the 90's, likely to match the fake numbers of all the other heavyweights. couldn't have a dude listed as 6 ft 3 towering over someone listed as 6 ft 4 lol
like how they list Ruiz at 6 ft 2, and Joshua is absolutely dwarfing him by well over a 5 inch cop can lolLast edited by them_apples; 01-11-2023, 11:55 PM.Comment

Foreman made Moorer look Tiny, he never made Ali look Tiny.

George was 30lbs thicker and 20 years older when he flattened the considerably younger Moorer who was bigger than Ali was at 26 years of age...Duh...

Anyone who disagrees with him is accused of being a casual or starting a pointless thread. He loves to split hairs and never admits when he's wrong. The take-away here is that Moorer was in fact the much smaller man, but he was more skilled and that skill is what prevailed. Usyk just showed what a smaller, more skilled boxer can do to a much larger mediocre fighter...and he did it twice! It's not a rule without exceptions. Sometimes the smaller, more skilled fighter can't overcome the size disadvantages, but various factors come into play...prime of the fighter, wear and tear, if the bigger man is a clincher/runner, etc.
Nothing complicated about it, simply shows that size doesn't mean anything if the skill gap is large. and here we have it, a massive size gap and a massive ability gap.Comment

Not aimless at all Queensbot. just a different angle that you aren't used to. you can easily make connections if you use your brain a bit, I promise you the extra chub Foreman put on did not allow him to take out Moorer. He would have murdered Moorer in a few rounds in his first run.
Perhaps in this case, the 218 lb version of Joe Louis that fought Charles might have a fighting chance of taking out Deontay Wilder at 212 lbs! now we are getting somewhere!Last edited by them_apples; 01-14-2023, 05:22 PM.Comment

I wouldn't be so sure to say Lewis, Klitschko and Bowe are in a category like that. They have too many glaring flaws in other departments. Bowe really never showed greatness other than his brawls with his buddy Evander (its a lot easier to get up and fight someone you know and are used to). Wlad got slept cold twice in his prime by sub-par smaller fighters, and never beat anyone great. He shouldn't be even mentioned. Vitali was pretty good though, underrated. Lewis was a great heavyweight. He had good ring IQ, and good fundamentals - and the confidence on the big stage. He had a weaker chin and sub par feet though - but over all would give most high tier champs a good fight.
Nothing special about that list, and 230 is a number many heavyweights have weighed.Comment

thats a pretty narrow bracket and all those guys lost to smaller men.
