No, the news that he failed the Hammer test came out after the Wlad fight. He did not fail any test for Wlad. This is a fact. Nash out.

      - - BBBc was as their charter proscribes was completely derelict in their drug testing oversight, but they did suspend Fury after he'd blown up to 400 lbs and had ditched every belt he owned. The Bringing Olympic Drug Testing to Boxing(not) Ring kept him for 2 years as their Ring Champ where he has zero Ring Title Defenses.

Really, this belongs in the Comix section.

That siad, he was only an average champion, but a GENUINE one.
I mixed up Carnera with willard for some reason lol this is not the first time either.

I will supply the list in no particular order, and you rank the giants in what you think is the correct order. George was big enough to fight anyone, and Liston was a giant in all but height, hence their inclusion. I am still ordering my own realistic list, as if it were a fictional tournament. I started with last place. Any match up can be discussed individually. Rank them as you please.

          1 Willard
          2 Lewis
          3 Vlad Klit
          4 Primo Carnera
          5 Vitali Klit
          6 Fury
          7 Liston
          8 Wilder
          9 Valuev
          10 Foreman
          11 Joshua
Foreman. 6 ft 4 but the most athleticism with raw power and strength. Most guys his size start losing stuff like coordination, and strength relative to their weight. Foreman was every bit raw strength for 224 lbs most heavyweights look like their weight is some burdensome sack hanging off their frame. Especially the bigger ones. Like Fury and Lewis when he put on weight. I notice the strong big guys look like Big toddlers almost, like Mike Tyson and Foreman. They are of a certain height but their heads and fists are big they are proportioned like a smaller person. Where as some of these taller guys start to thin out the taller they go and a lot of the weight it just fat, swelling or they are just skinny (wilder), Cooney. I guess genetically thats a lot of food for a build like Foremans to sustain, I suspect Mike likes eating as well.

liston is very strong and size in terms of bone structure but due to his height he shouldnt be on the list imo

Carnera made the big mistake that is today protected against to some extent by the mandatory eight count.

The Baer fight was uneventful until Baer landed big. Carnera, who had the heart of a champion if not the skills, came to his feet too quickly.

Unsteady, Baer jumped him and beat him up some. Carnera survived the round but was never realy in the fight again.

Willard made the same mistake with Dempsey. (The neutral corner rule notwithstanding; Baer respected the rule and still jumped Carnera.) The first KD was the whole fight. The beating was pointless. Willard got up before his head was clear.

But if either Carnera or Willard had stayed down for an eight count they both may have had, at least a chance.

If you will excuse this digression. This is what always amazed me about GeneTunney's ring IQ.

62 fights and down only once, the 'long count.'

With no experience being on the canvas, no experience being concuss, he handled a multiple punch KD; cleared his head, and then took full advantage of the situation ('long count') and stayed down every second available.

How come he stayed so cool? A master of the craft even in crisis.

So many champions made the mistake of jumping to their feet too quickly; for some it was the old 'pride goeth before a fall.' For some it looks to be panic. Some, it seems odd to say, just handle it. (The 'Old Mongoose')

Not for nothing, but Jess Willard gets a bad rap. He fought much like Vitali Klitschko did in modern times and both did pretty well. Watch Willard v. Johnson through and study his moves.

I had Willard ahead of Valuev and Carnera. I couldn't see him beating any other of the giants I used. Maybe he could.
