Do you know that for a fact? Did you read ad? The contest rules?

Did anyone else read the advertisement or do I just sound like a half-wit to all of you?

(And yea I know Lefty, I always sound like a half-wit to you.)

I really want to know, what dog name won the ******** $1000.

10 second place winners got radios. Nice ones too, going for $125. If I could only find a working one today I could sell it for 10K.

Forty third place winners got Gillette razors. (Looks like Gillette was in with the fight game even before TV.)

So, seriously, does anyone know ******** Max Baer's dog's name?

Takes a while to read but great article. We learn that Fitz was a frequent cheater with the hand wraps, perhaps explaining his reputation as a devastating hitter..

              - - There were never any handwrapping rules then, and any rules since then have been poorly understood if even enforced.

Fighters agree to terms and inspect each other's wraps and gloves then and now. Yes, U frequently misplace U dentures, but U got dozens in glasses in every room, so U got U covered no matter how wrong U bee...

In which fights is it proven that Fitz cheated with his hand wraps?

Fitz actually often asked the other camp for permission to wear extra bandaging because his hands were so bad. After koing Dunkhorst during which fight he broke a bone in his hand he asked Ruhlin's camp for permission to wear his own gloves which had extra padding.Billy Madden Ruhlin's manager examined them and promptly agreed ,extra padding was to his man's advantage. This can be found in Adam Pollack's excellent book! And Gilbert Odd's.
If Fitz had been wearing electrical tape,it would have been immediately detected, After carefully examining the wraps neither Billy Delaney ,Jeffries trainer or Jeffries made any objections to the wraps. When it's on your hands electrical tape feels like a brick.
It's also been proven that plaster of paris sprinkled on wraps does not work ,it disintegrates on impact.
With chronically bad hands I think Fitz would have inflicted more damage to himself than his opponents. We know his hands were a mess after the first 6/7 rds against Jeffries and he was left with nothing to hit him with.

                      - - Jeff said in your article that he suspected Fitz dipped his wraps in collodium, an odd chemical used in era photography. He provided no proof other than Delaney refused to inspect the wraps.
