I see leija was rated number 10 by "The Ring" for 1998. His fight with Mosley happened in November of that year and the rankings came out in April of 1999, so I assume he was ranked higher when they fought. He was not however ranked by the IBF which is the lightweight trinket they had fought for. Apples and orange anyway though.....I agree his comp wasn't very stiff at 135.Comment

He wasn't in the Top 10 at the end of 1997. But then again he did beat Azumah Nelson before he fought Mosley, so perhaps.

Emergency replacement Allan Green with half his bowels removed in emergency surgery took him the distance with no problem. Newer emergency replacement 41 yr old Glenn Johnson KO Green, no problem.
Hamlet was thinking of Son of Sissy when uttering tis classic soliloquy, "Something stinks in Denmark."Comment
