We're Leija and Molina not ranked when he fought them? I'm pretty sure both were past their best, but I thought they were ranked at the time and looked at as another stepping stone to Mosley's ascension to lightweight dominance.

I see leija was rated number 10 by "The Ring" for 1998. His fight with Mosley happened in November of that year and the rankings came out in April of 1999, so I assume he was ranked higher when they fought. He was not however ranked by the IBF which is the lightweight trinket they had fought for. Apples and orange anyway though.....I agree his comp wasn't very stiff at 135.

He wasn't in the Top 10 at the end of 1997. But then again he did beat Azumah Nelson before he fought Mosley, so perhaps.

114-113 Ward was good decision. I scored 115-112 Kova when I watched live. I scored the same with judges when I rewatched.

All three belong in the HOF. Ward did win the super six without much trouble. Toney fought everybody and their brother. So did Mosley. Great topic but if I had to pick one it would be Toney by a hair. There is no wrong answer.
