    - - Usyk bigger, stronger, more athletic, more credentialed both ama and professionally than proposed opponents, and OP has to ask who wins?

    Who wins, Ali vs OP?

That OP is mighty tuff to beat as we hear from his record.

So few knowledgeable boxing people left in the world. I wish the two enemy combatants here would take a different approach. Not judging here, but yaknow. Christ fallas.

I agree Usyk beats them all but my object was to stimulate debate not impose my opinion on others so I didn't give my view.
I'm neither tough to beat in debate nor do I resent being beaten as hopefully I will learn something each time it occurs. No expert me, I'm an average poster, but I do research my interests.
Below is a post from another Forum concerning Clarence Henry whom Lastarza ducked
"He ran into Moore at his peak, but he gave Harold Johnson quite the battle. Unfortunately he missed out on Charles, Walcott, and Louis (came close to happening) in 51-52 which would have told us where he stood. Marciano was obviously the biggest what if, Henry’s team did offer $40,000 to marcianos camp in title eliminator. Weill turned them down and signed to fight Lee Savold. Lastarza’s management admitted ducking Henry. We know Henry wouldn’t have beaten a prime Marciano, but would have been a much more entertaining fight than ding dong lee"

agree, especially the last sentence. And Clarence Henry was not the only contender during the decade who should have had a shot. What Weill began, Cus D'Amato certainly continued with Patterson opponent selecting.

The irony of D 'Amato was that he excused his refusal to allow Patterson to fight dangerous challengers because they were, he said mob controlled.conveniently not mentioning that he himself was bankrolled by Fat Tony Salerno, and as a result possessed neither a second's or a manager's licence in NY.

My theory was that Pete Rademacher, Tom McNeely and Roy Harris didn't pose as great a threat as Folley, Williams and pre medicated Machen did. I suspect that this was Cus's thought as well. No disrespect towards Mr. Patterson intended; a great fighter and fine gentlemen.

Floyd's record after he lost his title dramatically enhanced his standing imo.

And to this we can add:

                      53 (LHW)
                      54 (LHW)
                      55 (LHW)

                      58

Edit: Oh, I now see, that you're only talking about after he lost his title for the first time. Sorry, my mistake!
