Archie KO’d Bivins several times. Something even Louis couldn’t do. He was also one of only two men to drop Marciano. Foster never KO’d a world class fighter outside of a smaller **** Tiger. Archie had deceptive power and was a craftier fighter who created openings to land the punch his opponents never saw coming. Who hit harder? Tough to measure.billeau2 likes this.

Moore KO’d and dropped better opposition than Foster.billeau2 likes this.

Not true. You have no way to even quantify that. Louis could still punch. Louis stayed physically active during the war, let’s not use that as an excuse. Moore was a LHW dropping a HW, Louis couldn’t finish a LHW in Bivins, who Archie KO’d easily several times.
Moore KO’d and dropped better opposition than Foster.- The Associated Press reported: "Always chasing his retreating foe, Louis never was able to explode the bomb he carried in the days when he held the heavyweight title. . . . Bivins did little but retreat and flick his left. Only occasionally did he bull inside or chance a hard punch. Too often he was wild."

Watch his post war fights and how many times he threw it,then look at the couple of guys he managed to stop.More importantly look that guys he couldn't stop, guys that would not have gone 6 rds with him in his hey day. Then read the fight reports of those contests. Moore stopped Bert Whitehurst Liston didnt ,does that mean Moore hit harder than Liston? More actually ko'd Bivins just once the other stoppages were a retirement and an eye injury and Bivins did not engage with Louis he was on the defensive all night, its difficult to stop a man who is running away all night, amd just concentrating on survival.- The Associated Press reported: "Always chasing his retreating foe, Louis never was able to explode the bomb he carried in the days when he held the heavyweight title. . . . Archie had the "nuance" that Sheriff Bob could only dream off.GhostofDempsey likes this.
