Anyway if you are a stats geek and haven't experienced one of his videos, you should.

Cleveland Browns Fans Live in Hell is a good one, also The Worst Punt Ever or Kick-offs are Useless.

Didn't want you to . . . Want to redirect his interest towards boxing.

Another good project is to select any division and then find randomly its average height. I doubt that shorties would do as well as average height boxers, but I don't know about those who are extra tall for their divisions. In math intuition often does poorly.

I have to, since I am working on a card game with 65 cards and 5 suits. Figuring out hand values was harder than I anticipated. For instance, a flush beats a full house when there are 5 suits. Finally, I did all calculations 2 ways. You can have a true rainbow when you have 5 different suits, (which is called a rainbow). Now a rainbow straight is extremely hard to get, and ranks just below 4 of a kind. But remember, you can have 5 of a kind in this game.

I want one of the other boys to see statistically how galoots do compared to normals, since Willie and Apples both did fine jobs, and I know some of my boys have special subscriptions..
I'm curious... can you direct me to the thread, where Apples did extensive statistical work?

By buggery, maybe I mixed you and Apples up. But I thought he did some statistics too. My mistake, I guess.

That would be very interesting. Esp if we did a whole decade. Theres gotta be a way to punch this data into a program easily.

I wonder if boxrec allows for data downloading

I bet the probably of being a big “galoot” and getting knocked out cold by a smaller fighter is standard across the board in all decades Loo

I just requested it, to go by the numbers of the top 20 or so fighters (something like that) and to also divide by length of careers.

Is the KO % off because of early stoppages I.e. fighter safety or possibly more deliberate mismatches ? ? ?
I have no idea, why you think the numbers (taken from BoxRec) may be off... is it because they are different, from what you expected?

I don't think they are off . . . I was offering possibilities as to why the KO mean was twice as high for the 2000 group than the 1930 group.

Why did you think I was challenging the numbers.

P.S. Sorry I see my mistake now, when I said 'off' I meant off from eachother. E.g. 55% vs. 27%. Sorry I confused.
