Gomez is one of my favorite fighters. An all time great, and one of the greatest punches ever. It sadden me to read this. Hopefully he will get the care he needs.

Sad news. Reminds of the last years of Jimmy Bivins who was found living in his daughter's freezing attic, severely neglected, just over 100 pounds and wrapped in a urine and feces stained blanket.

Sad news. Reminds of the last years of Jimmy Bivins who was found living in his daughter's freezing attic, severely neglected, just over 100 pounds and wrapped in a urine and feces stained blanket.

It's horrible the great warriors are left to rot like that. There should be some kind of retirement fund for boxers after competing for so many years or so many fights to make sure they're either taken care of or can take care of themselves.

All of the above! Kept him away from everyone while cleaning him out. Tried not even letting the cops check on him then threatened them saying she had a gun.
