Not going on U emasculated American opinion. I cite boxing industry Ring Rankings.
Both Tarvet and Johnson starched Jones four years previous. It was obvious his reflexes were gone long before the Calzaghe fight.

So Hopki s knew he'd be ko'd years before, but lost a very close split decision to slappy Joe at 43. Lmao....You're a funny guy!!

Why won't you give credit to Calzaghe?

It's not as of he ducked a young Jones, he simply was born too late; a fighter can only fight the guy they put in front of him; the guys who are available.

It is one thing if a fighter pads his records and avoids the tough fights, but he shouldn't be discredited for doing all he could do.

And a fighter can only be judged by what stage of their careers his opponents were at. Calzaghe was a talented guy. A less talented but bigger version of Whitaker if you will. But I'm not into giving credit for fighting guys who's best days were clearly behind them.

Unfortunately you're the one who can't follow a timeline if you think Jones and Hopkins were still the same fighters they once were when they fought slapsie Joe. Going by your logic Tyson was a great win for Lewis, right? Because he was a ranked contender and all, right? Get outta here with your BS.

I f you don't fight top guys in their primes, you get no credit for it. The only fighter who fit this criterion was Lacey, who turned out to be a scrub, not an ATG or even close. For this very reason, Calzaghe is not an ATG, Period. One of the top fighters of his time but, sorry, no ATG.

                - - Thanks for ably demonstrating U timeline illiteracy. Joe at the very END of his career. Roy/Poppy carried on for near a decade more.

Tyson's rep as a top ranked contender since he was 19 yrs of age until he retired rocketed Lewis up the rating scale immediately, but point in fact when Mike was emotionally stable wrecking the debris of the tubby Lar era of ducked WBA champs, Field was going literal life and death with Qawi in the little boy division with Lewie still in headgear and 3 round diapers. Tyson like Joe retired shortly after that fight whereas Lewie had a half dozen more fights planned that he ditched after being emasculated by Vitali and the WBC...you're welcome.

Zags was 36 and besides Kessler never fought a tough top fighter. Both Jones and Hopkins had already beaten great fighters long before Calzaghe faced them when they were faded. And I'm not even trying to detract from Zags. Hopkins was a good win. It wasnt the best version of him and it was a very close fight, but he still got the W.

As far as the rest of your drunken rant......I couldn't take anything there seriously after you said Vits emasculated Lewis. TKO 6......Vits fought a good fight but was sliced, diced and stopped. Live with it you old lush.

Lacy did turn out to be a scrub. But give credit for Kessler. That guy could fight. And he has a better resume than Slappy Joe as well. He fought tough, prime fighters. Why doesn't Calzaghe have a prim Carl Froch or Andre Ward on his resume? (Scratching head wondering)
