Holmes beating Ali was more sad than entertaining, especially considering Parkinson’s was supposedly starting to take hold on him.

I love me some Joe Frazier, but Foreman Frazier 1 is a prime example of a beat down. Louis Schmeling 2 is a noteworthy one as well. RJJ Griffin is one of my favorite fights ever, and a first round KO can be a beat down. But I think that was more of one punch left Griffin fuzzy, them RJJ sealed the deal

Louis vs. Dempsey 2? Must not be the Louis or Dempsey I’m thinking of.

Fury vs Wilder 2 was the beat down of all beat downs. Holmes vs Ali was just a C-level guy beating up an ill and unfit to fight guy, no better than Belfort vs Holyfield. Holmes is a poor man's Kevin Johnson. Nash out.

Ok, that makes sense now. Don’t worry about it though

                - -Jack came out of retirement at the start of the Great Depression for a national exhibition tour taking on all comers that was very popular. He was basically fighting his way into shape to return to boxing where Joe was by that time a hot dynamic prospect nearing his first top 10 rating.

Jack never took that final leap forward, but the window of opportunity was there, and off course Dempsey vs Louis was the hottest fantasy fight that could be had among boxing fans back then. Jack was a big admirer of Joe and gave him support vs Schmeling and they were friends of sorts through boxing and entertainment circles they ran with in their day.

Omg! I just remembered another supremely entertaining beatdown. Emmanuel Augustus vs Ray Olivera
How did I forget to include that one in the original post!?!
