You were going to explain what Jack Dempsey gained by hyping promoters into believing that whomever got his signature on a contract for the Harry Wills fight would get the Harry Wills fight. We see that you are in fact correct, it must have been merely hype since the promoter who got his signature for the Harry Wills fight didn't get the fight. In fact, Dempsey didn't allow any promoter to get the fight. He didn't even allow Rickard to get the fight when he was trying to put it on, via Kearns pricing him out, you will surely like to add. Never Dempsey's fault...or is it?

The great thing about that '26 contract is that you can't blame Kearns, you can't blame Rickard, you can only blame Dempsey....for promoting hype, as you've now established. Think about that.
