Foreman with the much deeper resume. Numerous Hall of Famers on his record, not too many on Mike's

      - - Short prime finished age 23 due to congenital mental illness brought on by the massive abuse he took as a child exacerbated over the deaths of his mentors Cus and Jacobs, and then exploited by Gold digging Givens and her mama and of course the master of fighter disaster, DKing. Holmesy the fighter who couldn't carry Rockys Jock and Spinks the fighter who carried Rocky's jock ain't too shabby scalps for the Tyson mantel, plus in his prime knocking King back to beggar status. Nobody but Mike could've done it with as much concussion and class as Mike did it back when. He was the shining example of juvenile post prison reformation in action.

Foreman, obviously. Douglas is ahead of Tyson. Gave him a boxing lesson then knocked him out. Sure, Tyson beat Spinks, an overrated LHW who fought in a bad era and beat nobody, and Larry Holmes coming fresh off two losses. Prime Holmes survived 3 bad decisions against B/C level guys, and that's all he was. Worst era ever was Holmes' HW "reign". Or do we give Holmes credit for beating Ali? A man who could barely get out of his chair pre fight. Tyson is on that Alen Babic level. Good bully, but trouble against anyone with a pulse. Holmes was a poor man's Kevin Johnson, and that was Tyson's best win. Nash out.

Bear in mind too (I forgot to add this but was kind of tired when I posted), Foreman is a stylistic nightmare for Tyson. I don't put a whole lot of stock in the old saw about "styles make fights", but I think there ARE a couple f styles clashes that are truly determinative. This is one of them. Simply put, no short-armed pressure fighter is EVER going to beat a prime George Foreman (or Sonny Liston for that matter). It's just Kryptonite for them. They're just going to get hammered repeatedly with KO punches before they ever get to their desired range.

Tyson did not bob and weave. He gave angles but not in Frazier’s caliber in terms of bobbing and weaving.

Have you ever made a historical argiment that wasn't one childish overstatement after another?

You're not Nash Out aymore, your new name is the 'hyperbole kid.'

The Great Nash considers himself firm but fair. We all know that Kevin "the Kingpin" Johnson keeps Mike Tyson on the end of that jab all night. And Kingpin beat Bruce Seldon without paying him off to take a dive like Tyson and his team did. Nash still rewatches Kevin Johnson's magical KO win over Alex Leapai as well. Nash out.

I respect you as a fighter Willie Pep, but you are too serious in your work here. Learn from the Great Nash. Hyperbole kid out.

                      Guilty as charged.

But wouldn't your approach be better suited to the NSB section and not history?

What's the point of expressing mere opinion in a history discussion?
