It's Ring's "80 Greatest Fighters of the Past 80 Years" and I can't be arsed to look for the year it was issued: Look it up yourself and make yourself useful for a change.

Poet
He's rated #44 on that list. And that list was in 2002. IE, before he got KTFO twice. If they did it again, he'd be even lower.
Well! I clearly missidentified the list I had seen. The only thing is I'm not sure I can be arsed to Google search it again just to satisfy that twat: I simply DON'T have the patience for that.
Thanks for the list, I wish I had the patience to google these things but I get sidetracked. The internet is wonderful. Are there any good links you use regularily that you can share?
Re the list, to be fair to Poet I've seen Jones rated top 20 on a list somewhere, not sure if it was Ring or not though.
Quickly looking at that list, I'm a huge **** Tiger fan and not keen on Jones but I'm not sure I could rate Tiger over him especially not 13 places.
By the same token I'm sure that many would make cases for several of the fighters under Jones deserving to be above him.
No Fitzsimmons or Langford in the top 80, or are my eyes missing them?
I realise that you have to draw a line somewhere and my number 12 fighter might be someone elses number 30 but looking at that list either my mind is going or my eyes.
Due to the fact I forgot Archie Moore on my original list then by addind him I had 21 I have embraced Poet's aversion to putting HW's on my list purely for mathmatical reasons.
So I have removed Ali and Louis and put in Moore and Barney Ross so my top 20 pfp list is:
Arguello
Armstrong
Burley
Charles
Duran
Fitzsimmons
Gans
Greb
Hagler
Jones (RJJ)
Langford
Leonard (Benny)
Leonard (SRR)
Moore
Pep
Robinson
Ross
Sanchez
Whitaker
Wilde
