    • Joe Louis spent his career right tomato cans. Guys who were considered bums even back then. Why do you think his title challengers were called The Bum of the Month Club? Lol fighting bums doesn't make you great. It is like saying Deontay Wilder is great because he held the title for 5 years and had 10 title defenses. Who did Wilder beat? Wilder was champion in a weak era. The same as Louis

Even then guys like Max Schmelling a 190 pound guy knocked out Louis, Billy Conn a 170 pound light punching guy beat him from pillar to post and hurt him.

George Foreman, Ali, Ken Norton, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Rid**** Bowe, David Tua, both Klitschko brothers, Ron Lyle, Tommy Morrison, Ike Ibeabuchi, Evander Holyfield, Buster Douglas, Tony Tucker ect would beat Joe Louis.

I don't know who is more delusional, These people who think every boxer from the past was a ATG because Burt Sugar said so of these people who think every current boxer is a ATG because anything that is happening now must be great because it is happening now.

      • Prime on prime, of course. I would make favorites of Dempsey, Tunney, Liston, Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Lewis, Fury?, Usyk?, Bowe, Mercer, Morrison, and probably more.

Joe was a bit lacking in the number one gift a boxer must have to attain greatness--a superior chin. He is one of a few ATGs I know of with less than stellar chin. Hearns would be another. There are probably a few more, but rare.
