If a Modern Boxer is good enough he will be recognized as Great. One thing that goes against modern Fighters is the lack of fights but i don't hold that against them. i base it on Skills, Success and Who they beat if a Modern Day Fighter is mega talented wins titles and beats other top competition over a long period of time then i rank him as a ATG it makes no difference on the Era because every ERA will have tough competition you just have to wait 20-30 more years and this era will be appreciated more although when looking at talent this era is'nt filled with lots of World Class Fighters but their is enough talent if the right fights are picked to be considered an ATG and be as respected as the Greats look at Floyd i believe he would give SRR a Competitive fight but seriously Them Apples Tyson is not as Great as you may think his level of Competition is not as high as Marcianos was just check their opponents skills and records then you will see

I don't care how good you think Marciano's competition was. I've seen his fights, his opponents are slow, they gas easy and they have crap defense.
Marciano is slow and easy to hit, he doesn't have as much power as people think ether.
The fact that people even give him a chance against fighters such as Ali, Holyfield, Tyson and Lennox Lewis is just ludacris.

Now if those two were in their prime when they faced Marciano is the question, but still, Marciano didn't have easy opposition.
Marciano was slow and easy to hit but he also punched hard, punched a lot, never tired and never gave up. It's easy to discredit a fighter by just listing his weaknesses.
IMO P4P Marciano was just as good as anyone, but at 188 lbs he would be a bit too small to compete with the biggest and best heavyweights of all time.
So yes he shouldn't be overrated but he shouldn't be underrated either.

He tries to make today's Heavyweight division seem like a golden age when in truth it's one of the worst I've ever seen and my boxing memory goes back more than thirty years. Contrary to what he may say, I do NOT denigrate good modern fighters. I was a Lennox Lewis fan from the beginning, I've been a fan of David Tua. Quite frankly a prime Lennox would chew up and spit out todays active Heavyweights. If a prime Tyson was around? He'd go through these jokers like **** through a goose (bare in mind I'm NOT a Tyson fan).

Old timer bias because these guys were authentically tougher. Not these coddled babies that grew up in the microwave era.
And these guys were 'smaller' b/c they were fighting at their natural weight class. They had same day weigh ins so you didn't blow up 20 ****in pounds.
A limited guy like Corrales would of been a natural welterweight back in the day.
And these guys honed their skills and craft because they were fighting so often. Not once every 6 months if you are a decent name.
