'boxer puncher' suggests that the fighter likes to use the ring, movement, and distance, but also had a lot of power when they sat down on their punches. Thats more a Wilfredo Gomez style to me.

Trinidad didnt fight like that to me.
Sluggers and brawlers are reckless in my opinion and take chances because the don't have the skill to box in a classical sense. I've never been a fan of Tito the person, but he had a highly skilled offensive arsenal with subtle footwork in the mold of Arguello and Joe Louis. I don't think anyone would call them sluggers or brawlers, but thats only my opinion.

far as tito, i suppose you haven't watch him enough then. it wasn't until the twilight of his career that he just turned into a head hunter.
lol, Ive seen pretty much all of Trinidad's meaningful fights in his career. dont give me that.

Just because youre a 'slugger' doesnt mean youre a headhunter by any means. Trinidad went to the body often, which was the key for his late round knockouts.

Foreman was a slugger too, but that doesnt mean he waded in on opponents with no defense throwing wild shots.

whatever, **** terminolgy. but personally a brawler and a slugger are not the same things to me.

Anybody can be labeled as a boxer/puncher it doesn't mean anything.

I break it into 4 categories

        Boxer - Wlad Ali(young) Hearns
Counter Puncher - Toney Mayweather(above lightweight)
Volume punchers - Pacquiao, Pryor, Meldrick Taylor
        Slugger - Tyson Trinidad Foreman
        Slugger/counter puncher - Hagler Morales Hopkins(90s)

Definitely not just a slugger he had skills, just the basic 1,2,3 kind of stuff but what could have could is an interesting thought if he had better defensive skill.

Volume punchers, sluggers and slugger/counter punchers all of them generally come foraward.

So in other words anybody who doesn't fight a defensive fight is a slugger in your opinion. Brilliant!!
