It is amazing how prescient they were back when it really was more a matter of pure fantasy. They were likely familiar with Ivy Lee and Edward Bernaise.

Governments and corporations are already trying to control our speech, even online on social media now. We're increasingly hearing about posts on Facebook and twitter being taken down and not for any legal reasons either, but because of unpopular opinions. Can't have that. With all the increased surveillance in recent years, Big Brother is definitely watching. The mainstream media turned into Newspeak a long time ago already, with only a few independent publications outlets both in print and online that can be trusted. The internet is still a way for everyday citizens to make their voices heard and for the truth to come out fortunately.

I just hope we don't end up with complete socialism, or hidden cameras and microphones in all our homes.

Gil Clancy, and it's not even close. It never fails to shock me how ignorant Boxing fans are of their own sport.

After that, Gore, Arcel and Dundee are all good choices.

I'm liking what I am seeing from Peter Fury, teaching Heavyweight titans to Box.

Born Israel Goldman in Warsaw, Poland in 1888, Charlie Goldman grew up in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn. He fought his first pro bout at the age of fifteen in 1904. A tough but smart little brawler at just over five feet in height, Goldman's smashed nose and deformed features were a tribute to a lifetime of toughness. Charlie Goldman never won a championship in ten years of fighting professionally. Charlie did, however, learn the subtle art of boxing. Goldman quit fighting in 1914 and suddenly became a trainer. He trained his first world champion with a year - and is considered one of the greatest cornermen in history. He trained the all-star trio of lightweight champ Lou Ambers, welterweight king Marty Servo, and featherweight titleholder Joey Archibald. Goldman also worked the corners of Kid Gavilan, Fritzie Zivic and Oscar Bonavena. Among all his accomplishments, Charlie Goldman's greatest creation was that creature from nowhere Rocky Marciano. Goldman transformer Marciano from a laughably clumsy brawler into undefeated heavyweight champion of the world. Perhaps the greatest trainer of all time, Charlie Goldman retired from boxing after six meritorious decades.
I'd want him for my b trainer !

                      So many great trainers

                      So many!

You had classical guys who innovated. Muldoon, a wrestler, trained Sullivan and taught conditioning, eating right, things that were not hitherto approached rationally.

                      Blackburn
                      Goldman

                      Cuyo Hernandez
                      Beristain...

The usual suspects mentioned in the thread.
