He had 40 unbeaten bouts and beaten Lamotta before, and i don't see a huge amount of diffirence of Robinson many fights after that loss. Sounds pretty peak-ish to me. Fact is, Lamotta worked his ass off to beat him, and deserves all the credit he gets for it. Yes, he was a bigger man(though Ray was taller with a longer reach i believe) than Robinson, but we're talking about Sugar Ray here.

No, LaMotta is a great fighter. He was the first guy to beat Robinson, and the only guy to knock him down.
