It's true. LaMotta is one of the most overrated boxers in history. Who did he beat? A washed up Cerdan? A green Robinson (who he had a 16lb weight advantage over), and other no-names, has beens, and never was's. LaMotta never beat a true middleweight great in their prime ever. He just feasted on guys a lot smaller than him. He was slow, didn't have a real devastating punch, his boxing fundamentals were minimal at best, and he had poor stamina. He was not IMO a great middleweight. He was good, but not great. Very overrated.

so what, when u hav over 100 fights , losses are going to happen. and he did actually beat robinson once or twice. and was only knocked down twice in his 13 year career.

robinson went undefeated with 93 professional fights untill lamotta knocked him out of the ring. but he got up. what a disapointment.
