Ali was not in great shape, at least not in the shape he should have been in. Again, he weighed 215 lb., more than he ever weighed in a fight up to that point. He weighed 212 in the bonavena fight, which means he probably was taking Bonavena more seriously than Frazier. Again, Ali fought Frazier just three months after a rough fight from Bonavena. Ali should have been allowed at least half a year to heal from that fight, but Ali wanted to make as much money as he could as quickly as possible, because he thought he was going to jail. Ali was not in bad shape, but not in the best shape he could have been in if he was really determined to train.
If Foreman fought a different against Ali, would he have won?

I'm one of those who believe that Ali won more rounds, or at least score on round basis could be 7-7-1, but he did lose the fight to Frazier. If Ali was more active in middle rounds, round 8 comes to my mind, he could actually won that fight, but he was tired so that's why he laid on the ropes and got cought in 11th. Ali looked tired as early as in 2nd round. So yes, his conditioning wasn't the best, but he did fight great fight, and it was Frazier after all. All credit to Frazier because he took some terrible beating that night, and he did deserve the nod, but it was very close fight IMO. Frazier's best fight in his career, Ali had better days, but all respect to Frazier,he is great too.Comment

Now Butterfly is saying that Ali took Bonavena more seriously than Frazier. LOL, Frazier had beaten Bonavena twice before his fight with Ali, and one of those fights was the one sided 1968 rematch (in which Frazier won about 12 of 15rounds).
Anyways, George Foreman and Sonny Liston didn't take Ali seriously, so that is why they lost to him.Comment

Right. LOL!!!!Comment

I was using Butterfly's logic against him, dumbass. I've noticed that boxing forums are the most clueless when it comes to sarcasm.Comment

2. Given the nature of some of your other posts, there was no evidence that this one was any different.
