I'm kidding. I respect billue and Bundana quite a bit. I'm not sure what Bundana doesn't know about and billue is able to speak to combat more open ended than any other poster has expressed to me.
You also do real intellectual legwork. The time and effort this takes should be appreciated more. People love to read obscure Asian texts... I do as well! But sitting down, with dictionaries and an understanding of how characters were used at times in history, translating these texts, is not fun. And one mistake and people who know better will destroy any credability one may have acquired.

Research takes time, patience and discipline.

Marchegaino is smart and puts a lot of real quality time into his research.

I do think a lot of members here show they are capable. Queenie and Rusty will post a real gem now and then.

Houdini is said to have an IQ of almost 160! I know this because he told me!!

Seriously a lot of people contribute IMO. I only know what I know because of people like Joe Rein, Ray Corso and others who I would listen to.

I remember back a while ago, when I used to write a lot of stuff for the sites, I once posted about the qualitative difference between Joe Calzaghe and Roy Jones... At that time in my own development I didn't really understand the difference between quality of opposition. So this veteran poster explained to me, very clearly, how one cannot compare certain fighters because of the different level of comp.

Also, one thing that needs to be said here: someone can be very intelligent, logically correct, and for whatever reason, things turn out different than predicted. Larry famously posted about Broner and how he would be quite succesful. I don't think Larry was wrong. Broner was on fact very talented... Big Dun made this point to me about Broner as well. I asked Big Dun what he saw in Broner and he gave me a great response.

To this day I think Larry and Big Dun are correct. Broner's own stuff got him in trouble and not working on certain skill sets imo.

My point here is that "being right" does not always make one an intelligent poster. If one goes with the favorite by the odds, they would be right most of the time... Yet some of the most brilliant ideas that have found eventual success have been wrong about what they initially proposed.
Beat me to it, glad someone else mentioned HHascup. Class act too. Nelson is smart as well, when he's not kicking around Bart Simpson lol.

Everyone contributes different types of information. Nelson is smart when he isn't espousing the virtues of the Klitskos! Just kidding!!

Green? Was It Greer? .. I cant really remember. Can you link his profile? There was also greatest1942 or something like that. He was awesome.

Not really up to glorify the past though, but I dont feel it's right for me to single out people of today, but I can certainly say that the standard today is excellent and can compete with past eras for sure imo.
