Reigning German (BDB version) super welterweight champ Abass Barou, 4-0, and light heavyweight Leon Bunn, 12-0, headlines Sauerland Event´s show at the CGM Arena in Koblenz (Germany) on February 16. Who they will be fighting is to be announced. The last time Team Sauerland promoted a show in this town was in 94 when Torsten May beat Ralf Rocchigiani in a German title fight at cruiser with heavyweight Axel Schulz in the chief support.

Czech super welterweight and all time great Lukas Konecny, 50-5, makes a comeback of sorts on December 27 in Prague when he takes on Matus Babiak. However, the 40-year old former WBO and EBU champ is not about to go for the big time again but will keep the comeback to one or two fights.

SES Boxing in Germany have currently four EBU champs in heavyweight Agit Kabayel, lightheavy Dominik Boesel, supermiddle Robin Krasniqi and female flyweight Nina Meinke. Add to that heavyweight Tom Schwarz, WBO I/C champ, and female minimumweight queen Fabian Bytyqi.

As for three of the EBU champs there are big fights ahead during 2019 with Kabayel taking on Otto Wallin probably in February, Boesel has a difficult defence ahead in former champ Igor Mikhalkin while Krasniqi could be facing Juergen Braehmer.

Unbeaten Swiss welter prospect Zino Meuli, 12-0, takes on Czech Josef Zahradnik, 10-1, December 26 at the Bodensee-Arena in Kreuzlingen with the vacant WBFed title at stake. The show is promoted by Istor Boxing.

Danish super middleweight Daniel Heinze, 6-2-1, have announced his retirement due to reoccurring hand injuries. Heinze last fought in June of 2017 but was to come back on the Danish Fight Night show January 18 but was injured again and decided to retire.

Petko´s Box Promotion headed by ex-pro Alexander Petkovic will in the beginning of February stage a big show in Berlin with light heavyweight prospect Serge "Bavarian Sniper" Michel, 8-0, headlining against Canadian Ryan Ford, 15-3. At stake is Michel´s WBC International title. Exact venue, date and undercard will be announced shortly.

Danish super middleweight Patrick Nielsen, 29-3, still has high hopes for a rematch against former WBO champ Arthur Abraham, 47-6. Nielsen lost a split decision to Abraham in April and a rematch has been rumored and announced as more or less a go, for some time now.
