Legacy Boxing continues its International Boxing Series with a big show on Friday (July 15) in Wuppertal (Germany). Former WBA junior middle champ Austin Trout (34-5-1) headlines, as previously reported by BoxingScene, but it won't be against Dutchman Steve Suppan, who got injured in training. Instead, matchmaker Flavio Oleaga has brought in Florin Cardos (21-3): Cardos is from Romania but based in London. 

Cuban super middleweight Uwe Hernandez (13-1) is looking to add the WBA Continental title to his collection when he takes on Kamer Maloku (13-2). Hernandez already holds the IBO Conti belt.

51-year old former WBA cruiserweight king Firat Arslan (51-9-3) with a non-title showdown against Argentinian Juan Rodolfo Juarez (20-6).

Croatian heavyweight hopeful Agron Smakici (18-1) is trying to rebuild his career after getting knocked out in the first by former stablemate Zhan Kossobutskyi and face Brazilian Fernando de Almeida (9-5).

Also on the bill is French lightweight champ Jaoud "Le Bombardier Marocain" Belmehdi, who is in against German-Romanian James Chereji (17-1). Belmedhi is managed by Prolific Boxing Management, a new company based in the United Arab Emirates.

Petko's Box and Beat make another attempt to have light heavyweight Shefat Isufi (35-4-2) fight for the vacant WBFed 175 lb title and September 16 in Oberhausen Isufi will square off against Canadian Ryan Ford (17-7), well known to German fans for his knockout win over Serge Michel.

Isufi was all set to fight for the WBFed title on July 2 in Mainz but the opponent, Deniz Altz, pulled out at late notice and Isufi fought a non-title fight against Bernard Donfack.

Ford has just fought once in Canada since 2017.

WBA cruiserweight champ Ryad Merhy's title unification fight against WBC king Ilunga Makabu (29-2) that was first set for March 26 in Russia but had to be postponed when the war with Ukraine broke out, will now go ahead in Kinshasa, Kongo, on September 30.

Merhy (30-1) won the WBA Interim title in 2019 and was crowned "regular" champ a year later. He stopped Chinese contender Zhaoxin Zhang in his last fight. 

Makabu defended the title against Thabiso Mchunu on January 29 in Warren, Ohio.
