France’s Jaouad "Le Bombardier Marocain" Belmehdi, 23-2-3 (11 KOs) and the UK’s Josh Padley, 17-1 (5 KOs), are now co-challengers for the vacant EBU junior lightweight title.
The EBU has set November 3 at noon as the deadline for purse bids.
The title became vacant when Ryan Garner, 18-0 (9 KOs), relinquished it after defending it against Reece Bellotti on July 26.
Belmehdi, lost to Xan Yu in China in his most recent fight and was stopped in the first round against Gary Cully in 2022, but has also scored some good wins.
Padley was second-best against Shakur Stevenson last year in Riyadh, but he has beaten Marko Cveanovic and Reece Bellotti since then.
